The detailed schedule for Airwaves was published yesterday. It came out in some weird pdf all on one page which is horrible to print if you want to be able to read anything. I’ve cut it up into 4 pages via the amateur magic of screenshots and (I think) they are attached to this post for those who find it useful.

What I will typically do now is spend far too long planning and plotting my every move. Those plans invariably go out of the window the minute the festival starts, but the planning is still a fun part of the festival for me. I’ve just had a quick look so far, and my main points are…

– I have to choose between two absolute favourites on the first night when Reykjavíkurdætur hit the stage at the Art Museum at the same time as Kælan Mikla play in Iðnó.

– The brilliant and essential Pink Street Boys play at 02:10 on Sunday morning, which means they will finish about 3 hours before I need to be at the airport. If you see me there, please give me a glass of water!

– Friday at Gamla Bíó. Amazing. No need to move from there until Hatari finish, then it’s a short walk to see Grísalappalísa in Gaukurinn.

The off-venues are still to be announced and although there are far fewer this year, there are still sure to be opportunities to catch acts during the daytime. We have some good stuff on at 12 Tónar for sure.
