24 hours from now I'll be on a plane out of London heading for Iceland Airwaves so I'm really pumping out the interviews. And pumping is the right word this time – two pumping electro dance-pop acts, both of whom have reputations as brilliant live bands and that isn't always true of this genre in my view. Further down you'll find my interview with Bloodgroup, but first here's the band with it's own clothing line, Steed Lord…
Hello Steed Lord, where are you and what are you doing?
At home working on the computer. Working on the live set and also making visuals for our show.
Who's in the band?
M.E.G.A, Demo, Kali and AC.
Blog readers have a short attention span, can you describe your music in 3 words?
Homemade Icelandic electro.
Probably, 5 other bands will play Airwaves at the same time as you, so why should people come and see your show?
Cause we always bring something new to our live shows. So if you have seen us perform live before get ready to be surprised all over again with some fresh shit !
What other bands will you try to see at the festival?
Crystal Castles, CSS, Vampire Weekend, PNAU and Yelle.
Everyone has an opinion, but how and why does the Icelandic music scene that seems to produce such a large number of good bands?
We make music for the pure passion of creating something out of nothing. We are not making music to become rich and famous.
Steed Lord will play like Dirty Muthas at 10pm on Saturday at Tunglid. The debut album 'Truth Serum' will appear any day now…
Hello Bloodgroup, where are you and what are you doing?
Right now I’m in bed answering questions 🙂 …and thinking about ordering pizza
Who’s in the band?
Lilja, Janus, Raggi, Hallur. Styrmir and Benni are part of the live band.

I have no idea, and I don't know if this is a fact. But maybe it has something to do with that this is a small island in the middle of nowhere…
Bloodgroup play at Tunglid at 20:45 on Friday night. Other gigs around town are listed on their myspace page (link above) – their debut album 'Sticky Situation' is out now.
