Spitalfields Airwaves…update…

Spitalfields Airwaves…update…

There’s more detail on this rumoured event now. It appears to have changed its name slightly to now be called AllSpitalfields, the dates are confirmed as 18,19,20th September. Even though the name Airwaves has gone, the influence is definitely still there – this is over 3 nights in 10 small venues and it features a load of bands from Airwaves past, as well as the 2008 bill. It all sounds good! Tickets are on sale on the acts confirmed so far as all on the myspace page. But I’m going to pick out the most pleasing ones here anyhow. Mighty Icelandic dance machine Gus Gus are there, as are their fellow countrymen FM Belfast and Steed Lord. In terms of other Airwaves bands, The Teenagers will be
there (hooray!!!), and we’ll get an advance look at Pnau, Familijen,
Robots In Disguise and Florence & The Machine before they head off
to entertain us at Airwaves 2008. Finally, Who Made Who – a Danish band which played at Airwaves in 2006.

All sounds good does it not – I’ll keep you updated…
