Something’s going on, and it might be pretty exciting for us London based fans of Icelandic music! How does Spitalfields Airwaves sound? There’s just a couple of references online to such an event – nothing official but if you look here and here it would seem as if GusGus and FM Belfast think they are booked to play between September 18th and 20th. There have been one-off preview nights before to promote airwaves in Iceland run by those lovely people at Reykjavik Nights, so maybe we’re in for a treat on our doorsteps. I’ll do some investigating and I’ll keep you posted…
